Community Economic Development
Community Futures works in partnership with communities throughout the province to promote and expand community economic development. We assist communities in organizing and planning for a self-directed future.
Entrepreneurs with Disabilities
The Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program (EDP) helps people with disabilities or health conditions start or expand businesses in rural Saskatchewan. This program is open to anyone with a viable business idea who has a self declared disability or a health condition.
Self-Employment for the Unemployed
The Self-Employment Program is offered by a number of Community Futures regions in Saskatchewan. Be sure to contact the office in your region for more information.
The Program Objective:
- to provide potential entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge necessary to start and successfully operate a small business
- is designed to assist unemployed individuals to create and maintain self-sustaining jobs through the self-employment option
Youth Entrepreneurship
Encouraging youth entrepreneurship is important to the economic success of rural Saskatchewan. Community Futures youth entrepreneurship programs connect students with financial literacy resources, mentorship from the business community and opportunities to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit.
Indigenous Business Development Services Program
The Indigenous Business Development Services (IBDS) Program offers support for Indigenous entrepreneurs in Saskatchewan.
